The ea website, which has a vast database of people’s personal data, is also being used to log users into a fake e-mail account.
It is a common practice for e-commerce companies to use the e-mails of thousands of their customers to log them into an e-marketing account or to track their shopping behaviour.
This is also used to track the movements of buyers on online platforms.
In December, e-tailer Flipkart used its database to log into the ea account of a customer.
The e-shopping website Paytm, too, has used its own database to track customers.
This also has a wide range of use cases.
e-retailer Amazon also uses e-recruiters to log e-customers into their fake accounts.
Amazon also has the capability to collect information on the purchases made by its customers.
“These fake accounts have become a serious security risk for the ecommerce industry,” said Rajeev Shukla, a senior security engineer at security company Vulnerability Lab.
“If the eicast email is hacked, the hackers will be able to collect e-consumer data.
This will be extremely valuable for them,” he said.
